The Craftsman Behind Every Project
No subs. No surprises. Just decades of craft behind every project.

Meet Jake Blair
Before founding Heron Stone, I spent 16 years with Carrington Stone on the San Francisco Peninsula. The work was concentrated in communities where the homes — and the expectations — were extraordinary: Hillsborough, Atherton, Woodside, Palo Alto, Los Gatos, Santa Cruz, and the surrounding hillside estates that define that region.
We executed hand-carved stone installations, custom natural stone veneers, and large-scale masonry features for private residences owned by professional athletes, entertainers, and executives. Work at that level is unforgiving — every joint, every cut, every transition is visible and permanent. It trained me to care deeply about the details that most people never consciously notice, but always feel.
I moved to the Pacific Northwest to be closer to family, and six years ago I launched Heron Stone Masonry on the Kitsap Peninsula. What homeowners here get is straightforward: the person you speak with is the person on your job. I am the lead builder on every project. I train my installers, selected for their craft, and held to a standard built over two decades of detail-oriented, high-end residential work.
That attention to detail shows up everywhere — in how we stage materials before arriving, how we protect surrounding surfaces, how we finish transitions and clean up after ourselves. The visible work and the invisible work are both done right. That’s not a policy. It’s just how we operate.
When you hire Heron Stone, you get a team that shows up prepared — scope understood, communication clear, and a lead builder present from start to finish. That continuity produces better outcomes and a smoother experience, and it’s the reason our clients refer us without hesitation.
Our focus is masonry repair, restoration, cleaning, sealing, and specialty installs — work that rewards genuine diagnostic experience. We assess honestly and execute to a standard we’re proud to put our name on.
If that’s what you’re looking for in a masonry contractor, we’d like to earn that conversation.
